Aluminium Outdrives for Xray Composite Spool - 52mm driveshaft Version

Flying Fox RC "OPTIMIZES" the XRAY!

Made from American Aerospace quality 7075 Aluminium and anodized black for extra hardness and a stealth look. Our outdrives have a larger diameter, equal to Xray driveshaft blades, this greatly increases blade life compared using Xray aluminium outdrives. Compared to using Xray composite outdrives, our outdrives save you money in maintenance and won't bind the driveshaft pins in a notch which can negatively affect front suspension action.

Aluminium Outdrives for Xray Composite Spool - 50mm driveshaft version

 

 

Our 50mm Driveshaft version of the Aluminium Outdrive for the Xray Composite Spool. These are 2mm longer than the 52mm version and offer the same advantages for people running 50mm driveshafts.

                    JRXS Type - R Layshaft

 

The Flying Fox JRXS Type - R Layshaft combines the Layshaft, right Pulley Mount and standard Spur Adapter into one piece of precision machined 7075 Aluminium.

The benefits  of this design are:

 

  • Choice of different spur gears and wider range of gear ratios
  • Slightly lower rotating mass
  • Absolute concentricity of spur gear and pulley
  • Wider pulley spacing allowing better choice of Lipo Batteries
  • Zero backlash between right and left pulleys due to the clamping effect of a screw rather than an e-clip to secure the left pulley

 

Note: PRS spur gears use a slightly smaller hole patern diameter. To use PRS gears on the Flying Fox layshaft you must slightly enlarge the holes on the PRS spur gear with a body reamer or 4mm(#22) drill bit.

                   JRXS Type - R Spool

    

 

Our next product for the Losi JRXS Type R. This Spool is machined out of one piece of 7075 Aluminium.

By using the standard Losi clip in outdrives on both sides, replacement is now quicker and cheaper. Outdrives are keyed in place preventing uneven slipping common on the standard setup.

Rotating weight is reduced due to reduction in the number of parts used.
